On January 22, Alexa Lee, co-host of Live on Lakeside, talked with Jason Hicks, president of American Wood Reface, about the ease and affordability of refacing your kitchen.
During the interview, Jason explained the refacing process and American Wood Reface prides itself on utilizing 1/4″ solid wood refacing (as opposed to laminate or veneer), recognized as the industry’s premium standard. Its solid wood components are crafted especially for each customer’s home and precision installed by our skilled master carpenters.
Alexa asked thoughtful questions including one of our favorites to answer.
Why do people choose refacing as opposed to typical kitchen renovation?
Jason explained, “Everyone wants to update, and they want to love their kitchen. The challenge, of course, is the kitchen is a very expensive room to remodel. So, if you want the quality that comes with the high-end remodel, it’s going to cost you a fortune.
One of the top reasons people choose refacing, and us, is because they are going to get that top quality at a significantly lower cost. It’s also going to take much less time—which means less mess, less disruption. And from an environmental impact, it’s a very small footprint compared to an entire kitchen remodel.
