A Historic City

The city of Beaufort, currently the county seat of Beaufort County, is the second-oldest city in South Carolina, having been chartered in 1711.

Beaufort is located on one of the Sea Islands (a chain of barrier islands that run along the Atlantic Coast of the United States) that lies within the heart of the South Carolina Lowcountry.

Beaufort had a notable role in the American Revolutionary War, the Civil War and the Reconstruction Era that followed it. The Battle of Beaufort in 1779 was a victory for the Americans, as it saw them take fewer casualties than their British opponents.

During the Civil War, one result of the Battle of Port Royal in November 1861 was the occupation of Beaufort by Union Forces. And today, Beaufort County hosts the Reconstruction Era National Historical Park.

Historic Beaufort is renowned for its antebellum architecture and the Beaufort Historic District is on the National Register of Historic Places.

A Kitchen to Celebrate

Your Beaufort home is right in the middle of a historic city, celebrated for its architecture. Doesn’t that mean that your kitchen should be worthy of celebration too?

If your kitchen is looking less historical and more like “it’s history,” may we suggest refacing?

When you choose refacing from American Wood Reface, you get the chance to reshape both the aesthetics and the functionality of your kitchen.

An expert carpenter from American Wood Reface will remove the old cabinet doors and drawer box fronts in your kitchen and replace them with brand new ones.

And these new kitchen cabinet doors won’t be just any old replacements. They’ll all be made of solid wood and designed according to your exact specifications.

Choose your wood grain, add your favorite finish, and pick the pattern that will best complement the rest of your home. Have a look at our online My Kitchen Palette tool to see the wide range of options that are available to you.

While you’re refacing those cabinets, maybe we can interest you in some other kitchen upgrades. After all, just because you’re in a historic city, that doesn’t mean that you can’t have a modern kitchen.

American Wood Reface can add under cabinet lighting, crown molding and other decorative adornments, and even create more kitchen space for you by installing Lazy Susans, mixer lifts, swing-out pantries, and more!

Start the process of embracing your kitchen vision today by scheduling a free virtual or in-home consultation with one of our kitchen specialists. You’ll be glad you did!
